Rose Musyoki (b. 1999, Kenya) is an art critic, historian, and aspiring griot whose work
explores humanity as a lived practice. She engages with contemporary Black life, tracing its histories, narratives, and lived expressions.

Her practice addresses the gap between self-perception, identity, and contemporary expression
within the Kenyan and African diaspora contexts, where traditional, modern, and futuristic
influences intersect. Through art, she seeks to reframe how African cultural narratives are
engaged with, particularly in museums and public discourse, to foster a more inclusive and
forward-looking understanding of heritage.

She is currently based at Kamene Cultural Center in Nairobi.
